Amazing stay at a beach-front property 🙂
“My friend and I stayed here for a week in September 2014 and absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect; the apartment is ideal (clean, comfortable, kitchen well equipped, excellent air conditioning) and in a great location, right on the beach. You literally just have to walk downstairs to have access to a private beach, which is decorated by shells of various crustaceans and furnished with lounge chair. We also really appreciated the free and unlimited Wi-Fi Internet.
The owner of the apartment, Gordana, and her charming husband were very kind and helpful to us. When we wanted to traverse the water, they helped us arrange an excursion by boat to Miriste beach and the “Blue Cave,” which was fantastic! The apartment is situated near many local landmarks, so we were always preoccupied and entertained.
We would highly recommend the apartment, and we hope to return for another relaxing stay.”

Excellent appartment and friendly hosts
Villa “I love Njivice” is one of the best places of rest one can imagine. The appartment is equipped with all necessary staff (including toilet, shower, fridge, and kitchinette). The villa has a little beach, where you can swim just after you get up and just before you go to bed. The view from the villa is really majestic: the Bay of Kotor, mountains, clear sky. The host, Gordana, will arrange for you an airport transfer and various excursions (including the famous Blue cave) and give practical advises regarding your stay and rest. And all that – for very reasonable price. Thanks a lot, Gordana!
Loved our stay at ‘I love Njivice’!

Wonderful
“The view from our bedroom balcony on the top floor apartment was stunning, across the bay to Herceg Novi and the majestic mountains behind – it was always fascinating to watch at dusk as Herceg Novi lit up. Every morning we sat out on the balcony before 6.30 am with our coffee, waiting for the sun to rise over the mountain ranges opposite, shimmering across bay, before having an early morning swim at 7 am! We would also see huge cruise-liners gliding round the headland towards the Bay of Kotor – by early evening, we would watch the same cruise ships heading out to sea. There was a lovely, quiet shaded terrace at the back of the apartment.
Our teenage children loved being able just to skip down the stairs from the apartment to swim from the jetty in the bay. We could sit and watch them playing in the water from the balcony.
Apart from the view and location, the apartment was bright and very clean, with air-conditioning. Gordana was a most welcoming, informative and obliging host.
The village of Njivice was pleasant, and a lovely place to go for a stroll in the evening, overlooking the bay, just soaking up the atmosphere from Herceg Novi. Njivice was a great base, with hypermarkets in Igalo and Herceg Novi. The border crossing in the village saved time on the route to Dubrovnik through the attractive Konavale region, and had much more scenic views over the sea.
In two weeks, we drove to Trebinje, Stolac and Mostar in Bosnia, staying in Mostar overnight and driving back via Medugorje, along the magnificent Adriatic coast road via Dubrovnik. The drive around the shore of Kotor Bay to Kotor itself, and its old town, were spectacular. We also visited Dubrovnik and the Konavale region in Croatia. The ferry across the mouth of Kotor Bay was always very quick and an experience when cruise ships passe. We made an early start one day to visit Our Lady of the Rock on the island off Perast (featured in Francesco’s “Mediterranean Voyage” BBC series) by water taxi, and were back before our teenage children were even up! We had ambitious plans to visit further afield in Montenegro, but curtailed these because Njivice itself was so relaxing. A highlight was the boat trip Gordana arranged for us through for us through a neighbour to the Lustica peninsula opposite, passing by the Habsburg fort of Marmula and dropping anchor at the Blue Cavern, swimming in its sapphire waters, and with a stop for lunch at some great fish restaurants. It was so lovely, we did this twice.”

Our family (2+3) thoroughly enjoyed Gordana’s beach apartment’s top floor. Welcoming was great, starting from top level instructions to the email. Apartment was top-notch clean and the air conditioning worked like a charm when it was needed. Gordana’s family’s own place is right at the bottom floor, so if something would have needed fixing (nothing did) it would have been very easy. Did I mention already the friendfulness of Gordana and her husband? The peaceful location, own pier and a small beach of the apartment by the chrystal clear Kotor bay waters. The apartment balcony overlooking the bay with morning sun, afternoon shade and an awesome night-time view; a great place to unwind! We throughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return one day. Thank you! Merja (and the rest of the family)
PS. The cherry topping to the cake was that there were a few Finnish books left by previous guests, so as we had read the books we had brought along at the end of our 2-weeks journey, all of a sudden we had fresh books to read. (and of course there are books in English at that mini library also).

Infusion of skies, hills and sea, and hospitality!
“September, hot late summer sun, crystal blue skies, warm sea with the surface so immovable you could hear the sun rays reflect off of it – I knew where I was going and was looking forward to it. The place and the landlady had been recommended to me, and I’d done my homework, read a bit about the region, its history, places to go. So, yes, I knew where I was going but where I arrived was so much more than what I’d expected!
Everything that the property listing said was there – a beautiful slender villa sitting at the very shore, right above the jetty and a stretch of beach shaded by tamarisk trees; the apartment was refreshingly cool when I walked in, spacious, spotless, blue and white – a bit of marine environment in its own right. All I wanted to do was get into my togs, run a flight of stairs down to the beach, lounge into one of the chairs, and soak it all in. And that was exactly what I did – thoroughly enjoying the surroundings for the whole duration of my stay.
The beauty of the place stays with me. I can recall the relief of the Orjen mountain sharply drawing a line into the skies, the line that resembles a face of a sleeping man; the chirp of cicadas fading away as I dose off with the lulling sound of the wavelets; the firelight of the setting sun on the surrounding hills which dramatically rise straight from the sea; and the fullness of the moon that in turn rises from those hills.
But the real gem of my stay in Villa I Love Njivice was none of that – it was its owners. They were the ones that made me feel like I had a right to enjoy all that splendour of their home. Because of them I was not the odd one out, the one who stepped into their own piece of paradise, there for a few days, a stranger. Mrs Gordana, the landlady, with her smile and readiness to help, is the driving force nobody can resist! How could anybody say a No to a cup of coffee that would miraculously appear by their lounge chair, and all that they could see through their drowsy lids was Mrs Gordana whispering “Hope you’ll enjoy it”.
Premium quality for the reasons money can’t buy! Wholeheartedly recommended. I will definitely visit again.
I love Njivice!”

Loved our stay at ‘I love Njivice’!
Wonderful hosts, clean and well stocked apartment with a stunning view and fabulous ‘beach’. The apartment was perfect for us- 3 adults and 1 toddler. Gordana made sure everything went smoothly, from our reservation to airport transfers, helping with a rental car and even making wonderful crepes for us on the couple rainy days we were stuck inside. The apartment is a short walk to the town’s hotel (Riviera) that has a nice beach and ferry over to Herceg Novi. The location of Njivice is perfect if you are looking for a quiet peaceful village close to Dubrovnik and seeing sites around the bay of Kotor. Although the studio behind the apartment does not have a view- it would be perfect to rent with the apartment for larger groups or a family with older kids who need another bedroom (share a patio but have separate entrances). We will definitely plan a trip back and would recommend the apartment to our friends.

A nice and calm place with amazing view
“We had a wonderful stay at this comfortable apartment. The owner, Gordana, took great care of us and also offered us homemade food and help to book a boatride among other help. The apartment was very clean and with an amazing view. It has a small kitchen suitable for basic cooking. Sunbathing on the private little “beach” was very relaxing. Swimming there is ok, but the seabed is not very nice. We visited the small family restaurant in the village, with was quite ok. For more restaurants it is god to have a car and go to Herceg Novi”
